Art & Beyond Community

Beginning in April 2026, I launched an art column titled Art Walk With Cathy on Xiaohongshu, a Chinese social media platform. By September of the same year, in less than six months, the column had already attracted nearly 2,000 subscribers and over 100,000 views. I was even invited by YOUTHGANG (a Chinese youth trend and culture media brand) to join their Shanghai organizer program and collaborate on the planning and hosting of offline events. At the same time, the youth art exhibition I organized in Shanghai also brought me many local friends who share a love of art. On top of that, quite a few of my childhood friends in Nanjing are also deeply interested in art. For all these reasons, I decided to expand Art & Beyond Club into the Art & Beyond Community—a cross-campus, cross-regional community for young art enthusiasts that is open, flexible, creative, and full of energy. Together, we plan and host a wide range of online and offline art events, and for each event, we recruit volunteers from within the community so that we can explore and enjoy art together.
