Shanghai Songjiang YOUNG Art Museum

Shanghai Songjiang YOUNG Art Museum is located at No. 910, Lane 900, Sanxin North Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai. The museum focuses on calligraphy and painting arts, with core business activities including hosting art exhibitions, promoting cultural activities, facilitating creative skill exchanges, and providing educational training programs. The museum operates under a free admission policy and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

YOUNG Art Museum is situated in the core area of Songjiang Thames Town, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. It is the first privately owned art museum in Songjiang. The museum's main building is a 3-story structure that stands out with its minimalist architectural style and classic black, white, and red color scheme. Combined with blue-gray exterior wall tiles and ivy covering the entire wall, it harmoniously blends within the British-style architecture, making it an unmissable landmark in Thames Town.

In October 2025, YOUNG Art Museum is hosting a solo exhibition by a young artist titled "The Dawn of Existence—Mutual Color." This exhibition features large-scale oil paintings on canvas with Shanghai urban landscapes as the theme. The paintings are filled with predominantly square, highly saturated color blocks that create a very impactful visual effect. Since the museum doesn't have permanent exhibitions and primarily hosts various art shows, each exhibition features different themes, content, and artworks, with varying viewing periods that won't be detailed here.

Among the museum's interior features, the most eye-catching element is the red spiral staircase that winds from the first floor to the third floor, resembling a red ribbon threading through the entire space. Artist Yang Jiayong's sculpture "Life" serves as the inspiration for this design. The white walls create a striking contrast with the vibrant red staircase, generating powerful visual impact that makes every casual photo look like a fashion shoot. This place has become a popular WeChat spot for young people.

The museum's first floor also houses a coffee bar and art classroom, where art institutions and artists regularly conduct teaching programs year-round. It serves as an ideal venue for meeting fellow art enthusiasts and engaging with artists.
