Deji Art Museum

Deji Art Museum is a non-profit art institution established by Deji Group on September 26, 2017, located on the 8th floor of Deji Plaza Phase II in Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Covering an area of 9,000 square meters, the museum's collection spans ancient Chinese ceramics, calligraphy and painting, Buddhist sculptures, and modern and contemporary art. The current director is Eileen. Distinguished as "the world's only museum open until midnight," the museum has been open daily until 12:00 AM since 2024 and was selected for the "Top 100 Most Popular Museums List" that same year.

"A World in Bloom" is Deji Art Museum's flower-themed art collection, focusing on research and acquisition of masterpieces featuring floral subjects throughout modern and contemporary art history. Currently, "Erta Kembang: Masterpieces of Flower-Themed Art from the Collection" is the museum's core permanent exhibition, showcasing the finest works from the "A World in Bloom" collection. The exhibition brings together 140 authentic flower-themed masterpieces by 109 renowned Chinese and international artists from the Impressionist era to the present day, encompassing over 50 significant art movements and groups. It pioneers a "story chain" narrative experience, creating a profoundly meaningful artistic environment by emphasizing the intrinsic connections between works. Through four chapters—"Cross-Pollination," "Avant-Garde Horticulture," "Beyond Flowers," and "Breaking Through to Bloom"—the exhibition reveals how these works bear witness to pivotal turning points in artists' careers and the spirit of their times, while reflecting deeper transformations in politics, economics, technology, and culture.

The entire exhibition features a well-organized layout with highly readable wall texts, making it ideal for art education. Beyond the awe-inspiring authentic works by masters such as Impressionists Manet and Monet, Post-Impressionist Gauguin, Expressionist master Munch, Fauvism founder Matisse, abstract art pioneer Mondrian, Cubism founder Picasso, Dadaism godfather Picabia, and Pop Art pioneer Thiebaud, many oil paintings by modern and contemporary Chinese artists are equally impressive. Notably, the exhibition includes the only flower-themed work from the entire artistic career of Mr. Chen Yifei.

A complete visit to the exhibition takes approximately one hour, though your stay may extend longer as the exhibition also provides video content, collection handbooks, and books for reading. Admission is 140 RMB, with discounts available for students.
